Do bands have to pay to play?
No, but SVR is a fundraising event. We have urged them and their friends to help us keep music in the schools with a financial contribution in the form of sponsorship or tickets.

Are there only Silicon Valley professionals playing in these bands?
Each band has to have one Silicon Valley representative.

How can I submit my band? You can submit your info here or email alison [at] svrocks.com. Please include links to your music and video when possible. Also, be sure to explain how you are connected to Silicon Valley.

When will you select the bands?
We will have a firm line-up by mid-October. Exact date to be announced.

How many bands will you have?
We have time for 6-7 bands.

Is this a Battle of the Bands?
Not officially.

How many people are attending this event? Who attends this event?
We’re expecting 300 people. Our guests will be SV insiders who have come to support their friends and network!

How much does it cost to attend?
$25, $35, and $45 depending on when you register. VIP Tickets are $75 and include (include 3 drinks,
premium seating, and light hors d’oeuvres

Can I get a “press pass”?
No press passes for this. It’s a fundraiser, and everyone is kindly asked to buy a ticket or make a donation.

I can’t attend. Can I make a tax-deductible donation?
Yes. Please go to our page on Network for Good and you can make a donation there. Please make sure to mention your donation is related to Silicon Valley Rocks!

Can my kids come watch me play?
Great American is an “all ages” venue. We’d recommend finding alternative childcare arrangements for the afterparty.
